SIGNATURE JOURNEY
Route
Prague · Loučeň · Mcely
Duration
1–5 days

Prague is a natural beginning, but not the whole story. Beyond the city, Bohemia opens into old parks, country houses, forest roads and small towns where the pace changes almost immediately.
This journey is designed to move gently from the capital into that quieter world — with time for a château garden, a long lunch, a country-house stay, or simply an unplanned stop along the way. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is there merely to fill a schedule.
The pleasure lies in the transition itself: leaving Prague behind and discovering the quieter Bohemia that most visitors never quite reach.
Three distinct chapters, connected not by a schedule, but by a quieter way of travelling through Bohemia.
The journey begins in Prague — not with a checklist, but with time to settle into the city.
Mornings in Malá Strana, a walk across the river before the streets fill, a long lunch, a hidden courtyard, perhaps an afternoon with nowhere particular to be. Prague needs very little introduction; the pleasure is in allowing it enough time.
From here, the journey gradually leaves the city behind and turns towards the quieter landscapes of Bohemia.
Character - Old streets, quiet courtyards, riverside mornings, unhurried elegance.

Leaving Prague behind, the journey begins to soften at Mcely. Set above the St. George Forest, the château has the ease of a country house rather than the formality of a monument — a place for lunch, a walk through the grounds, coffee on the terrace or simply time with nowhere else to be.
We might stop for their nine-herb tea, stay for a leisurely lunch, or let an afternoon disappear between the gardens and the forest. Mcely is not about seeing more. It is where the journey begins to ask less of you.
And for those who prefer polished five-star comfort, it is also a beautiful place to stay — particularly when the following morning deserves as much attention as the evening before.
Character - Forest calm, country-house ease, thoughtful hospitality, time to linger.
Loučeň changes character as the afternoon gives way to evening. There is time first for the old park, its labyrinths and the quiet pleasure of wandering without much purpose. But we would not hurry away.
One of our favorite reasons to come here begins after the day visitors have started to disappear: dinner in the château. In the right setting, surrounded by the history of the house, an evening at Loučeň can become something far more memorable than simply another good meal.
Stay afterward in one of the château’s historic suites, or continue the journey according to the rhythm we have shaped together. There is no single correct ending to the day — only the one that suits you.
Character- Old parkland, labyrinth paths, historic rooms, an evening worth staying for.

FROM THE JOURNAL
We have traveled this road ourselves.
Prague, Mcely & Loučeň — read the story →
This is not a fixed itinerary, but one way the journey might unfold. We shape each day around the season, the road, and the way you prefer to travel — leaving enough room for an unexpected stop, a longer lunch, or simply staying somewhere because it feels right.
There is no reason to rush the morning. Breakfast, a final walk through Malá Strana, perhaps another coffee — and when the city has had enough of you, your private car is ready for the road into the Bohemian countryside.
By midday, Prague already feels further away. Stop at Chateau Mcely for lunch, coffee, or their signature nine-herb tea, then take time for the gardens and the quiet edge of the St. George Forest. There is no need to turn every beautiful place into an attraction.
The journey continues through the quieter roads of Bohemia. Perhaps we stop somewhere along the way. Perhaps we do not. The point is not to collect places, but to allow the landscape itself to become part of the day.
Arrive with enough daylight left for the château park and its labyrinths. Walk without a timetable, find a quiet corner, or simply let the afternoon settle before the character of the place changes again in the evening.
One of our favourite reasons to come to Loučeň begins when the day visitors have gone. Dinner in the historic château setting can become the moment the whole journey seems to slow down around the table.
Stay in one of the historic suites, return to Prague, or continue the following morning — the ending is yours.
Every journey can be shaped around how independently — or personally — you would like to travel.
We create the journey. You make it your own.
We shape the route, recommend the right stays, arrange the essential reservations, and prepare the journey around your pace. You travel privately and independently, with us quietly behind the scenes when needed.
We begin the journey together.
Jan or Tatiana joins you for the beginning or a key part of the journey — introducing the places, the rhythm and the details that are difficult to discover from a distance. Then we leave you to enjoy it at your own pace.
Travel with us.
One or both of us remain with you for the key days — or throughout the journey — taking care of the details while allowing the experience to remain entirely your own.
Every journey is private and individually arranged. Private curation begins at €990. Personally introduced journeys begin at €2,000, and personally hosted journeys begin at €3,500.
Accommodation, private transport, dining and experiences are arranged separately according to season, availability and personal preference.
Tell us when you would like to travel, how much time you have, and what draws you to this part of Europe. We will shape the journey from there.
